Webinar: Strategies to Stop SNAP Proposals that Take Away Food Assistance from Millions

Tuesday, April 24, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Eastern

Register here.

The nation’s most effective anti-hunger program, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), is under attack.

The 2018 Farm Bill proposed by House Agriculture Committee Chairman Mike Conaway (R-TX) would harm millions of SNAP participants, including children, people with disabilities, older adults, and people who are working but struggling to get by on low wages.

The bill was voted out of the House Agriculture Committee on a party-line vote on April 18 and could reach the House floor as early as the week of May 7.

Join this webinar to learn more about the draconian provisions contained in this bill. You’ll also walk away with the best messages to use when talking about the Farm Bill and concrete actions you can take to protect SNAP in the coming days and weeks.

This webinar is co-sponsored by the Food Research & Action Center, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Feeding America, and the Coalition on Human Needs.
