As Erin noted on yesterday’s BEC/SNAP grantee call, NCOA would like each of you to send at least one person to our virtual conference, Age+Action, taking place June 7-10. You should have budgeted at least $250 in your grant for participation in this event.

We are excited to have some great sessions lined up this year, including:

A Monday afternoon of networking opportunities with your peers and the MIPPA grantees in your state, as well as sessions on sustainability and innovative benefits outreach strategies
Benefits outreach and access for special populations such as individuals being released from incarceration, veterans, rural residents, and American Indians, among others
A conversation with representatives of the federal agencies administering the core benefits
How to partner with community health workers, community colleges, and health care entities
Overcoming racial inequities in food insecurity
And much more!

To register one and only one person, visit www.ageaction.org. Under the registration tab, select Center for Benefits Access then BEC or SNAP grantee from the next bulleted list.

You can register 3 people for $500 using the Conference Group rate (select Conference Group Rate after submitting your email address on the registration page, but you may want to make a note you’re a BEC/SNAP grantee).

While there is no hard deadline to register, we encourage you to do so by May 1st.
