FW: Revised Notice of Denial of Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage Leslie Fried 10 Aug 2017 17:34 EDT
Good Afternoon,
Please see attached the CMS Memo regarding the revised Notice of Denial of Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. The notices must be used no later than October 1, 2017.

The notices seem to be an improvement, including the requirement that, if a drug may be covered by Part B, the PDP plan has to highlight that fact and an MA-PD has to indicate that it was approved under Medicare Part A or B.

The revised notices also includes the national toll-free number for the SHIP TA Center,

The English and Spanish notices, and instructions for their use, can be found here. https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Appeals-and-Grievances/MedPrescriptDrugApplGriev/PlanNoticesAndDocuments.html

Best,
Leslie
