FW: Re-Determination of Part D Low-Income Subsidy Eligibility for 2018
Leslie Fried 25 Jul 2017 15:12 UTC
Good Morning,
Each year, CMS prepares a memorandum on re-determination of Part D LIS eligibility for the 2018 plan year. In particular, it outlines plans' responsibilities to reach out to members who no longer automatically qualify for LIS.
Attached is the memo that was sent to the Part D plans yesterday. We thought it might be of interest to many of you as you assist your clients.
Best,
Leslie

Please see the attached memorandum entitled "Re-Determination of Part D Low-Income Subsidy Eligibility for 2018" from Jerry Mulcahy, Director, Medicare Enrollment and Appeals Group. The memorandum provides information regarding CMS' process for re-determining eligibility for the low-income subsidy (LIS) for 2018 and the Part D sponsors' responsibility for conducting outreach to members who no longer automatically qualify for LIS in 2018.
