FW: Medicare Part D Prescriber Enrollment Requirement Leslie Fried 01 Jun 2017 17:07 EDT
Hello All,
CMS has issued notice that it is delaying all enforcement of the requirement to prohibit Part D plans from covering drugs when the prescriber is not enrolled in Medicare until January 1, 2019. Therefore, it appears that there will be no enforcement at all until January 1, 2019, at the earliest.

This to inform Part D Sponsors, Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAOs) offering MA-PDs, and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) that CMS is still delaying all enforcement of the Medicare Part D Prescriber Enrollment Requirement until January 1, 2019 and that we are no longer planning to implement a phased approach before January 1, 2019.
