Equitable Relief Reminder

 

As you may recall, CMS extended the equitable relief for those enrolled in both the Marketplace and Medicare. This relief ends on September 30, 2018.  To ensure that all those potentially eligible are aware of this relief, CMS is mailing a letter to those who are currently enrolled in Medicare Part A (only) and the individual Marketplace. This letter notifies them of the opportunity to enroll in Part B now and explains the ramifications if they choose to not use this opportunity. There are about 4,200 people that may be eligible for the relief to enroll in Part B.  We wanted to provide a copy of the letter (in English and Spanish) so that the SHIPs may be aware should a beneficiary contact them about this letter.
