Those of you who attended NCOA’s national conference last year may recall a session that Damon Terzaghi from NASUAD did for us on Medicaid 101. In case you missed it (Damon does a great job relaying complex information concisely), you can
catch it again, as he will be presenting a webinar for the SHIP TA Center, Medicaid 101: Issues & Implications for Individuals with Medicare, on Wednesday, June 13 at 3 p.m. EST.
This webinar will provide an overview and background of the Medicaid program, including federal requirements and state options for eligibility, services, and related issues. The session will also discuss key components of Medicaid for older
adults and other Medicare beneficiaries, including coverage of long term services and supports, as well as the Medicare Savings Programs. Lastly, the session will include a discussion of current regulations, waivers, and other proposals to alter the program.
Speaker: Damon Terzaghi, Senior Director of Medicaid Policy and Planning for the National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities (NASUAD)
