To Whom This Concerns:
A little information about me.
HICAP Program Manager for the County of Ventura Area Agency on Aging since 2000. Ventura HICAP completed
over 200% of MIPPA back in the infancy years and has/is still working with our state MIPPA, and with NCOA BEC for 4 ½ years. This year alone we have save over $5 million for our county residents. Our HICAP/BEC is still serving and collaborating with other
agencies and non-profits. This week our county Oncology department asked if we could screen and do all the public benefits for their cancer and blood disorder patients, including Medicare Part D. We have served our first client yesterday. This just opened
another valuable door for clients who are in need.
Respectfully,
Katharine Raley

The Center for Benefits Access is seeking volunteers to join a soon-to-be-formed new MIPPA Leadership Council. The Council will work closely with Center Staff to enhance the technical assistance (TA) agenda for fellow MIPPA grantees. The
Center is looking for up to 10 representatives from diverse BECs and MIPPA grantees including AAAs, SHIPs, and ADRCs to serve on the Council. The Council will play a collaborative role in establishing training topics for Center TA calls, webinars, and conferences.
The Center for Benefit Access will organize and host the quarterly Leadership Council meetings via conference call. The Council’s inaugural meeting is scheduled for later this Fall.
We hope you will consider being a part of a dynamic group that will tailor our collective training efforts to better serve our diverse partners and audience. Please contact me with any questions and if interested include a blurb
describing why you’d like to serve on the MIPPA Leadership Council. I look forward hearing from interested parties by COB Friday, October 13.
