Hello everyone,
NCOA is proud to have been awarded the ACL contract to continue to be the MIPPA Resource Center. As such, we are seeking to expand our network of Benefits Enrollment Centers (BECs) around the country, and we welcome applications from you!
BECs use person-centered strategies in a coordinated, community-wide approach to find and enroll Medicare beneficiaries—both seniors aged 65+ years and adults living with disabilities — who have limited income and resources into available
benefits, with the primary focus being on the following five core programs:
The Request for Proposals is attached and available at:
https://www.ncoa.org/news/ncoa-news/center-for-benefits-news/apply-to-become-a-new-bec/. Find more information, including a link to Frequently Asked Questions, on this webpage as well.
Grants of up to $100,000 each will be awarded to selected state/local agencies and/or nonprofits who must be able to provide application assistance for at least 500-1,100 Medicare beneficiaries for all of
the five core benefits for which they are eligible during the 18-month grant period.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete a simple notice of intent by
Thursday, October 12 at 12 p.m. ET. A link to complete the application will be sent to those who submit a notice (including after this date).
Proposals are due by 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
If you have any questions, please contact
xxxxxx@ncoa.org.
We encourage you to apply and to circulate this RFP to agencies/organizations in your community that might be a good fit!
