Our friends at the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) Resource Center are hosting the 2nd in a series of webinars on storytelling that you may wish to participate in.

Date and Time: August 15, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time

Speaker: Vanessa Chase Lockshin, President, The Storytelling Non-Profit

Audience: This topic may be useful for a broad range of efforts, such as in conducting outreach, staff and volunteer training, etc. Anyone in the SMP, SHIP, and MIPPA network who is interested in this topic is welcome to attend.

Description: In the June 15 Storytelling 101 Webinar (available in the SMP Resource Library), Vanessa provided an introduction on storytelling as a tool for communication and education, including why storytelling is important and how storytelling can help you educate beneficiaries about the SMP mission.

In this follow-up webinar, you will learn the elements of a story and how to create each part of a successful story, including examples. You will also hear tips about how to deliver stories in conversations, in presentations, and in written communication.

To make the most of this event, please bring an idea or an example of a story you’d like to be able to express to help in your work with the SMP program. Activities will be included in the webinar to get you thinking about how to best craft and share your story.
