Sidney et al—

I literally just posted the new LIS eligibility table this morning at: https://www.ncoa.org/wp-content/uploads/part-d-lis-eligibility-and-benefits-chart.pdf

I’m still working to update our chart for MSP; since we like to include information about which states have increased their income thresholds/eliminated asset tests, this usually takes a bit longer to research and compile. I will circulate it once it is ready!

Brandy,

Do you have any updates on the benefits charts NCOA publishes with the new LIS/MSP numbers?

Thanks!

Just a short time ago, the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) within the US Department of Health and Human Services released the 2017 poverty guidelines. The guidelines set the poverty level at $12,060 for an individual and $16,240 for a couple in the 48 contiguous states, and $15,060/$20,290 and $13,860/$18,670 for individuals and couples in Alaska and Hawaii, respectively.

We are working to update all of the relevant benefits charts with this new information and will circulate them when they are ready.

I have attached the spreadsheet from ASPE outlining what the new poverty levels look like at different percentages.
