We need to find someone who is part of this "late boomer" cohort (born roughly from around 1958 through 1964) to talk to the reporter about how the 2008 downturn affected them. Ideally, today, but if we know the person can talk later in the week for sure, the reporter can wait to publish the story after he talks to them.
They would have to be willing to go on the record (name and potentially photo included in the story). The reporter’s name is Daniel de Visé.
This study from the Center for Retirement Research, What Happened to Late Boomers’ Retirement Wealth?, found that this cohort has fared really badly in terms of savings during and after the Great Recession.
