Dear MIPPA Grantees,
NCOA’s
2024?Age+Action Conference will be held in person in Arlington, VA May 6-8, 2024. This national event brings together hundreds of professionals from around the country to participate in networking sessions, learn about innovative programs and receive training
on promising community practices that work to ensure every person is able to age with their best possible health and economic security.??
With funding from the U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL), NCOA’s Center for Benefits Access is providing mini training grants to support the attendance of individuals representing the Medicare Improvements for Patients
and Providers Act (MIPPA) network at the 2024 conference.??
?
Each MIPPA state lead will be offered one (1) mini training grant in the amount of $2,500 to support participation in the conference. The state lead should determine who from their agency/network should attend with this support.
NCOA and ACL strongly encourage using the mini training grant awards to support attendance at the in-person event.??
The mini training grant is intended to support the costs of:?
Conference registration. Registration fees range from $550-$650 depending on the timing of registration.?
Hotel accommodations. The in-person conference will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia, which is conveniently located one stop from Reagan National Airport and directly across the street from the Metro
station. We will share information about the room in the near future.
Travel, meals, and incidentals. The remaining grant funds can be utilized by the grantee to travel to/from Arlington and for meals and incidentals not covered at the event (some meals provided).?
?
All registration, travel, and accommodation arrangements must be made and paid for by the grantee. NCOA will not reimburse any costs associated with participation in the event. Any expenses not covered by this scholarship amount
will be the responsibility of the individual and/or agency/organization.?
Questions, please don't hesitate to email me.
