Good morning, everyone,

I’m reaching out to get the help of you all and anyone in your networks who provide Medicare and/or duals counseling. ACL and NCOA’s September cycle 2 unwinding survey closes October 2. We’d like to know what’s going on across the country so NCOA and ACL can provide you all with the most valuable information and assistance. We have yet to hear, however, back from counselors residing in the below states and territories. If you live in any of the below or know a Medicare counselor who does and can fill out our quick survey, please send it along.

Also, thank you all for all of the incredibly helpful work you’re about to do during open enrollment!

Matthew

Subject: MIPPA Listserv: ACL/NCOA Medicaid unwinding survey, September 2023

Caution. This email is EXTERNAL.

Hello, everyone,

ACL and NCOA are for a second time sending out a survey to the network to gauge what grantees are experiencing with regards to the Medicaid public health emergency (PHE). The purpose of the survey is to gauge how the Medicaid unwinding is impacting beneficiaries as well as the MIPPA network and other organizations that are assisting Medicare beneficiaries over and under age 65, including the duals population. The survey, for instance, aims to:

The survey results will then be used to develop technical assistance and resources to support grantees and beneficiaries to maintain or obtain the benefits for which they are eligible.

Some important notes on timing:

September’s Unwinding survey will be open from September 18th to October 2nd, 2023.

The first cycle of this survey was sent out in July 2023.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Sincerely,

Matthew
