Medicare enrollment and coverage rules are different for people who have End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), which is kidney failure that requires transplant or dialysis. Tens of thousands of individuals are eligible for ESRD Medicare, and many make enrollment mistakes as a result of misinformation or unfamiliarity with the rules.
