Updated Low-Income Subsidy (LIS) Drop-in Article

 

Today, CMS posted an updated version of the LIS Drop-In Article to accurately reflect eligibility requirements. The LIS Drop-In Article is a resource to inform Medicare beneficiaries about the Low-Income Subsidy for Part D also known as Extra Help program which helps some people pay their Medicare drug coverage (Part D) costs, like premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and other costs. CMS requests that any partners utilizing this resource ensure that they are using the most up to date version which is now available on the IRA Resources Page.

 

New Resource for Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Education – U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) IRA Anniversary Video

 

On August 14th, HHS posted a short video highlighting patient stories to celebrate the passage of the IRA. This is a resource to educate the public on how millions of Americans are already seeing lower health care costs as they access the care they need. The video can be accessed on the HHS’ YouTube or Twitter page or on the homepage of HHS.gov.
