Title VI programs/Tribes are welcome to respond to the survey! We called it 50-state merely to represent that we’d love input from across all geographies (not that it has to be someone at the state level to respond).

 

We’re trying to get a sense of what’s happening on the ground to individuals losing Medicaid (but who aren’t yet enrolled in Medicare).

Hello, everyone,

 

ACL and NCOA are issuing this survey out to the network to gauge the level and type of public health emergency (PHE) unwinding activity grantees are experiencing. The purpose of the MIPPA grantee unwinding survey will be to gauge how the Medicaid unwinding is impacting beneficiaries as well as the MIPPA network/organizations that are assisting Medicare beneficiaries over and under age 65, including the duals population. The survey, for instance, aims to:

 

• Measure call volume and the type of assistance requested, or complaints fielded and
• Capture unwinding stories / the voice of the beneficiaries

 

The survey results will then be used to develop TA and resources to support grantees and beneficiaries to maintain or obtain the benefits for which they are eligible. 

 

Some important notes on timing:

 

• The same survey will go to you a few times over the next few months in hopes of measuring changes over time (July, September, late- December, and February);
• The survey during each of these months will remain open for two weeks; and
• I will send out survey reminders one week before the survey closes.

 

July’s 50-state unwinding survey will be open between July 12 and 26.
