MIPPA list serv members,
NCOA recently received funding to conduct research on the impact the transition from expanded Medicaid to Medicare has on the lives of low-income adults. As part of this effort, we are looking to collect stories from low-income (but not
dual eligible) beneficiaries that conveys how the move from expansion Medicaid to Medicare effected their health and financial well-being. Listed below are examples of the types of beneficiary scenarios we are trying to learn more about:
While we recognize that the PHE may be reducing the number of transitions from Medicare to Medicaid counseling session, we remain interested in collecting stories on how beneficiary’s health and financial well- being changed with the move
to Medicare.
NCOA is open to collecting testimonies in a variety of ways including recordings or written summaries of the transition impact. All recordings and/or summaries would be forwarded to NCOA to be incorporated into the beneficiary story portion
of the research.
Please let me know if you are still interested in participating in submitting a story or if you have any questions. Know that NCOA would be willing to lend a hand if you are concerned about operating the technology required around recording
the call.
Thank you
