Hi Michelle,
It varies. If we’re doing a small direct mailing, it may only cost $99 – if we are doing a large campaign, it could cost $4500+.
We’ve found it depends on the area for direct mailings. Some of the smaller rural areas it is not effective. But most other areas in our state, it’s been very successful and we find doing a direct
mailing in conjunction with radio ads and social media posts is even more successful.

Thank you for initiating this conversation Ann!
Donna, this great to know. How much does your org spend per month or quarter on this cost and what ROI have you witnessed?

We used to get our mailing lists through our state Dept. of Licensing, but due to security reasons we can no longer use them. So, we now buy lists through
www.leadsplease.com.
It seems to be working for us. The lists are accurate as we don’t get any returns.

MIPPA listserv member,
Good morning!
We have received an inquiry from a fellow grantee asking if any programs had experience using mailing address information from a private company to try and reach out to Medicare beneficiaries? If your program has used private mailing lists,
please respond to me or the list serv describing how your program used the list and your opinion if it was worth the cost.
To start the information sharing, know that the county SHIP/MIPPA program I worked with in Maryland, routinely purchased a private mailing list of individuals turning 65 in the county and sent out birthday post cards inviting the recipient
to upcoming turning 65 webinars. Looking forward to hearing from the network.
