Pam Watson is spearheading a project in Wisconsin in which we’re obtaining data on residents who are turning 65 years old from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in order to send birthday postcards.

MIPPA listserv member,

Good morning!

We have received an inquiry from a fellow grantee asking if any programs had experience using mailing address information from a private company to try and reach out to Medicare beneficiaries?  If your program has used private mailing lists, please respond to me or the list serv describing how your program used the list and your opinion if it was worth the cost.

To start the information sharing, know that the county SHIP/MIPPA program I worked with in Maryland, routinely purchased a private mailing list of individuals turning 65 in the county and sent out birthday post cards inviting the recipient to upcoming turning 65 webinars.  Looking forward to hearing from the network.
