When a beneficiary disagrees with a coverage or payment decision by Medicare, they have the right to file an appeal. This can take place when the beneficiary:

Disagrees with a denial of coverage of a health care service, supply, item, or drug.

Requests payment for a service or item they already received.
-
Wants to contest a change to the amount they must pay for a specific service or item.
In partnership with the Medicare Rights Center, NCOA is hosting a webinar on May 25th outlining how you can help your clients appeal a decision related to their Medicare coverage and payments
in both Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
