Join MHP Salud and special guest Dr. Jose Leon, from the National Center for Health in Public Housing,  to learn how Type 2 Diabetes affects older Hispanic/Latino adults and the barriers they face to preventing and treating diabetes. The presenters will address culturally appropriate steps for the prevention and management of diabetes among older Hispanic/Latino adults.  Finally, presenters will discuss how Community Health Workers/Promotores de Salud play a role in preventing and managing diabetes among older Hispanic/Latino adults.
