Learn how to use technology effectively to serve Medicare beneficiaries and engage with volunteers.

The SHIP TA Center is pleased to announce three webinars about using technology effectively to serve Medicare beneficiaries and engage with volunteers.

During the pandemic, ACL grantees used technology in new and creative ways to continue providing service remotely. It has not always been easy, and requests for support continue. Even when in-person services are deemed safe again, the need to effectively reach people using technology is expected to continue. The SHIP TA Center has engaged national experts in this field to train the paid and volunteer workforce on *digital technology and older adults.

This webinar series will:

·    Examine knowledge acquisition

·    Explore changes in beliefs and attitudes towards services to older adults

·    Increase confidence in providing help through technology

·    Examine stigma

·    Use known adult learning theories & role-plays to reinforce learning

* Digital is defined as any technology ranging from telephone, text messaging, smartphone apps, video conferencing, video games, and social media to virtual reality.

Speakers: Karen Fortuna, PhD, MSW, LICSW; and Alyssa Gocinski, MSW candidate

Audience: SHIP, SMP, and MIPPA staff and volunteers
