Good Afternoon,
We have heard from several counselors that have clients who were enrolled in Medicaid expansion programs who were recently moved to Medicare Savings Program. These changes have caused some confusion because
there had been a “pause” on changes to Medicaid enrollment during the Public Health Emergency. These changes are the result of a recent rule published by CMS on November 6, 2020, which provides states some flexibility to change Medicaid enrollment within
their states. We have prepared a short document to explain the changes and how they might affect your clients.
Please feel free to reach out to us via this listserv or directly if you have questions or have experiences to share in your state.
Thank you,
Leslie
