Hello Everyone,
Welcome to OEP! As usual things are very busy this year as we get started. There have been few hiccups which have been reported to CMS (see below under MPF Issues). We also have a few updates for you on some general things. Please share
with your teams as appropriate:
- General Updates:
- Non-Renewing Plan List – CMS does not have the list of non-renewing plans to share this year. However, you can review the list of the available plans by county in Landscape
files found here: https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Prescription-Drug-Coverage/PrescriptionDrugCovGenIn/index.
- Protocol for Reporting Issues – We have made a couple clarifying updates to the protocol (attached) for reporting issues with the MPF and/or OEP under Category 2. If you follow
the protocol and the 1-800-Medicare CSR is not able to resolve the issue for you please send an email to
xxxxxx@acl.hhs.gov. The clarification is that we would like you to include additional details on the call with the CSR such as date, time, CSR name, and the phone number you called from. This will help CMS to find the recording
of the call if necessary.
- Unique ID Complaint Form
– I have also attached the Unique ID Complaint form as a reminder of the details on how to submit issues when your Unique ID doesn’t work properly. If possible, combining the details requested in this form along with your description of the MPF/OEP issue
will help us in reporting issues to CMS.
- MPF Issues:
- Pharmacy Network Issue – There is a widespread issue with the network pharmacy display for Cigna-Healthspring and Express Scripts. The MPF currently shows no network pharmacies
available for these plans and indicates “N/A” for the drug cost details. CMS and the plans are aware of the issue. The plan information needs to be updated and should be available in MPF
Monday, October 19th.
- LIS Status Issue – ACL has received several reports of the LIS status displaying incorrectly. This issue has also been reported to CMS.
We will share additional updates from CMS as they become available.
