Thank you for all of the valuable feedback you’ve provided over these last months as you use the Medicare Plan Finder. We continue to be in touch with CMS and wanted to give you some updates on improvements that are planned for this year.

The next update that includes front-end changes (aka changes that are visible to Plan Finder users) is planned for Thursday, May 7.  This release will launch multiple enhancements, including many that we heard were critically important to SHIPs:

 

CMS has also made back-end changes to the data sources that feed the Plan Finder, so the data that displays is now more accurate and refreshed more frequently. For example, information about plans is now updated on a daily basis, including weekends, rather than weekly.  Additional improvements are planned before the upcoming Open Enrollment, including updates to Medigap data and display, and additional drug refill frequency options, among others.  

 

We will continue to work with CMS and keep you informed about changes to the Plan Finder.
