CMS issued a press release at:
https://www.cms.gov/newsroom/press-releases/public-health-news-alert-cms-develops-new-code-coronavirus-lab-test that indicates they’ve created a new code for the test. In that PR they’ve also got a few links to the memos that were sent to physicians and
labs for coding.
I have not seen an MLN fact sheet yet with any more details.

Caution. This email is EXTERNAL.
Hi, Brandy. Thank you for the information. I looked at the
Medicare.gov page, but am interested in the regulation that governs this. Do you have any information on where the regulation can be found? Is there a MLN that was just posted that states the test is free, but no claims can be submitted until April? Just
a couple of questions before I pass this on. Thanks.

From CMS:
You may be hearing about the coronavirus (officially called 2019-novel coronavirus or COVID-19) in the news. While there isn’t a vaccine yet, Medicare is still here to help.
Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers a test to see if you have coronavirus. This test is covered when your doctor or other
health care provider orders it, if you got the test on or after February 4, 2020. See:
https://www.medicare.gov/coverage/coronavirus-test.
From NCOA:
