Subject: BEC Listserv: Implementing Salesforce In Your BEC

Good afternoon BECs,

We received an inquiry about developing and implementing Salesforce for the purpose of the BEC. If you use Salesforce please tell me about the following:  

• The process it took to get it up and running. We applied for the grant that gave us access to the free license.  WE had to work with our IT dept. to get everything set up so it took us about 1month and 1/2
• What key functionalities you use for your BEC work We use it for our Pilot with NCOA for Facebook ads
• The challenges you faced while developing a customized Salesforce application for your BEC When we changed IT administer we had been locked out. We had a lot of support from NCOA to use and customize salesforce
• Any advice you may be able to give to a BEC implementing Salesforce To have great IT support and make sure to document your process so if someone leaves you can pick up were the person left off.
