“We are a non-profit law firm serving rural and small town Georgia. We offer free legal services in civil cases to people who cannot afford to hire a lawyer. We have 11 offices around the state to serve people where they live. Our clients have “high stakes” problems, such as domestic violence, eviction or foreclosure, denial of hard-earned benefits such as unemployment, inability to get critically needed health care or food aid, and many more. Our work is to assure that low income people have access to justice and opportunities out of poverty.”

Subject: NCOA BEC Grant Funding Announcement

Greetings,

NCOA received notice from the Administration on Community Living that we will continue to house the Center for Benefits Access for the next three years. We are delighted that we will be able to provide supplemental funding of $17,500 (note: 35,000 for Regionals)  to continue the BEC operations from September 30 – December 31, 2017. A second email will be distributed to BEC primary contacts which provides instructions and the application link for the next round of funding which will now be held on an annual cycle starting January 1, 2018.

Please monitor your email as you will be receiving 1) supplemental funding grant agreement and 2) instructions for 2018 funding. Please send your questions to becproposals@ncoa.org.

Sincerely,

Center for Benefits Access Team
