State of the Science: Long-Term Services and Supports and Caregiving for Adults Aging with Disability (Session 1)

Meeting Description:

As the U.S. population ages, an increasing number of Americans with disabilities acquired early in life are living into their later years. These individuals are said to be “aging with disability” and represent a growing population with unique healthcare needs. This population challenges our usual definitions of what it means to age “successfully”, and calls for new policies and approaches to maximize access to healthcare, long-term services and supports, and evidence based programming.

This October, join us for an exciting three-day webinar series led by experts in the field of aging and disability.  Learn about recent research advances in key areas, including long-term services and supports, community access and autonomy, and healthcare policy changes for people aging with disabilities.

This webinar series is hosted with support from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) and the National Council on Aging (NCOA).

Pre-registration is strongly suggested.
