Good Morning Derek,

We have a couple resources that I hope will be helpful. Attached are our paper Key Benefits Screening and Documents Checklist.

Paper Key Benefits Screening - We use this document to collect the most basic information we need to do a screening when there is no internet access, such as at senior fairs.

Documents Checklist - We give a copy of this to clients after completing a screening, so they can compile the documents they will need for their application appointment. We worked with our DHHS Eligibility Specialist (ES) caseworker to update this checklist so it contains only the verification documents caseworkers in Michigan do not already have access to through their online systems.

Please let me know if you have any questions about these resources.

Thanks,

Dawn

Subject: BEC Felton Institute - NCOA Benefits Enrollment Center - San Francisco - We need ideas for "checklists" that are used for screening applications in "real-time" in the field.

Hello NCOA BEC Partners,

Does anyone have a pointers, literature pieces, or strategies for a checklists that you use for screening an application in “real-time”? What items are needed to expedite a Benefits Check-up?

The issue we are trying to avoid is “lag-time” with the application process when we are doing “Benefits check-ups” in the field. So, we welcome any ideas, flyers, or tools you have developed to address this issue.

Thanks,

Derek
