Please see the following message from Maggie Flowers at ACL regarding an upcoming Federal Forum on Serving Older Adults. We hope many of you can attend - it is bound to be an informative and engaging session.
The Administration for Community Living (ACL) is pleased to invite you to the third
Federal Forum on Serving Older Adults on September 11 from 2-3:30 pm ET. The session will focus on housing, including a presentation and opportunity for small group discussions about how housing applies to your day-to-day work. You
will also have an opportunity to ask questions of federal agencies about federal programs and benefits which will be answered via email after the session.
This forum is intended to bring together staff from community-based organizations to learn from federal agencies about a broad range of topics that matter to low-income older adults and those they serve. The workshops will be facilitated jointly by federal
benefit experts from agencies such as the Social Security Administration (SSA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and more. ACL will also evaluate the
effectiveness of these sessions to make improvements for future sessions.
