In just a few weeks, the Census Bureau will begin directing people to go
online to complete their 2020 Census.
Last week NCOA hosted a webinar on this important matter, which you can access at:
https://www.ncoa.org/event/census-2020-older-adults-reaching-the-hard-to-reach/
Households will receive their invitation to respond to the 2020 Census between March 12 and 20. The invitation will include instructions for responding online,
as well as a toll-free phone number people can call if they need help or would like to respond by phone. The Census Bureau would love your help letting everyone know that they can expect their mailer in mid-March and can begin responding online March 12.
Here are some talking points and sample messages that can be dropped into your regular communications or repurposed into social media posts.

Since many older adults may be reluctant to, or unable to, go online to be counted, it’s important we get the word out, help them when possible, and direct them to other ways to be counted.
