Many of you may have already heard about the publication of the final rule (see: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2019/08/14/2019-17142/inadmissibility-on-public-charge-grounds) regarding the public charge designation and how it affects immigrants needing public benefits.
We wanted to point you to some resources that may be helpful to understanding how the rule may affect your clients who are in the U.S. and receiving public benefits. These resources come from Protecting Immigrant Families:
NCOA is continuing to monitor the implementation of the rule, and will be working with partners to develop more resources, including a webinar, on this issue and what it may mean for your immigrant clients.
